Etsy Secret Admirers

So, I'm curious if anyone else ever wonders who secret admirers are on Etsy. Are they admin, SS, P.I., fanatic? It makes me wonder who thinks their favorite list is so special (no offense) that they can't share it with everyone? Not to mention the fact that brings traffic full circle to the site that hearted my shop and to all of their other favorite. It's like putting a brick wall between Mission street and China town. Yeah, there's other cool stuff to look at on this side but what am I gonna do when I want potstickers?

Super-duper Gas Bill Sale!

Yes. I'm having another sale. And I'm sure you're trying to figure out why i'm calling it a "Super-duper Gas Bill Sale!". My husband and I live in Lake Tahoe,Ca and it gets really cold and dumps snow in the winter time. We have to keep our heat turned up pretty high to keep our pipes from freezing and to keep us from turning into popsicles during the night. So, here's the deal. I slash all of my prices and you buy my cute stuff so that I don't get turned into a frozen zombie. Got it? Good.

The sale starts today (Saturday, January 23rd) at noon PST and ends Saturday, January 30th.

TV Dinner Cupcake Experience

So, for our 2 year anniversary my husband got my the great book "Hello, Cupcake!" which is all about how to decorate cute cupcakes and includes the infamous TV Dinner Cupcake frosting how-to! This week I decided to buckle down and spend a few hours on decorating some fricken awesome cupcakes! Here's the final result.

From left to right Fried Chicken, Mashed Potatoes & Gravy, Corn on the Cob with Butter, Peas & Corn and last but not least Chocolate Pudding!
I think they came out totally sweet and I couldn't have asked for anything better. My personal fave to make was probably the mashed potatoes, plus they just look totally cute. Unfortunately after having spent about 3 hours baking and decorating I had no appetite to dig in and eat any of them. They managed to hang around about 3 days before my husband Joel and I decided to see how the cupcakes actually tasted with all the nasty bits attached.

Our personal plate of cupcakes for tasting!

Joel started with the Corn on the cob.
The corn the cob was probably the most frightening of all of the cupcakes due to its extreme amount of jelly beans. Luckily I used Buttered popcorn so it made it kind of mesh with the feelings of actually eating corn...but in a totally awesome sweet tasting way.

I ate the butter pat (lemon starburst) when Joel wasn't looking. :)

Peas & Corn is what I started in with. Pretty darn tasty, if I do say so myself. Kind of tasted like a normal cupcake spiked with orange starburst which was really yummers.

Joel Checking it out...I think it passes the test!

Checking out the Fried Chicken. The fried chicken tasted crunchy and sweet and really good because it had a doughnut hole buried under the frosting. Way Yums!

Fried Chicken is sooooo good!

Chocolate Pudding wasn't really much of anything special. It was just a regular yellow cupcake with chocolate frosting.

Seriously destroyed plate of cupcakes. We enjoyed them quite a bit.

After a few more minutes of sitting in front of us they were pretty much gone. Not too much to complain about. Just good cupcakes with crazy stuff on them. I fully recommend you go out and buy the book "Hello, Cupcake!" Tons of fun for your and yours and plenty of calories to go around.

New Site URL

^^^ There is my new accounts hearts thus far^^^
Go check out the new site and let me know what you think!
www.frostedcrossbones.etsy.com

I know I've been really bad about posting on here. Seeing as I have no idea is anyone even reads this thing.
Anyway, it took me a few hours but I managed to switch etsy.com accounts. I still have a few more items to put up and kinks to work out. For now it's pretty good.

I'm sure that you might be wondering where all the clutches went on my site. Here's the deal. I sold 90% of them to my mother in law and gave a few of them to my friends as holiday gifts. So, I WILL have some in stock very soon. It just takes me sitting down at the sewing machine and actually getting to it.

On my roster today: Making a few more clay pieces. Baking them. Making them into jewelry. And last but not least getting started on a clutch and possibly a necktie.

We'll see where today takes me.

I also still have my husbands family in town. I love them, so they need my time and attention too. Maybe I'll drag some clay with me if I leave.
